Multiplication has been at the heart of Johnson Ferry from the very beginning. Since 1989, Johnson Ferry has actively engaged in church planting in strategic locations across the country as we fulfill our calling in the Great Commission.

In 2022, the church prayerfully began a 10-year commitment to serve and support church planting efforts in New York City. The city has a population of nearly nine million people, yet only an estimated 6% have put their faith in Jesus. While these numbers highlight a vast spiritual need, NYC presents a unique opportunity to reach multiple cultures within a relatively small area. However, church plants in the city face significant cultural and regulatory challenges, along with a shortage of affordable meeting space. Many pastors must raise substantial financial support just to maintain buildings that can accommodate only a few dozen members. Additionally, church planters must often balance full-time jobs, the responsibilities of raising families, and the demands of ministering to their communities. These are all areas Johnson Ferry seeks to support our partners in.
